Spiritual Direction
A compassionate guide on your journey of faith
Spiritual Direction helps you notice where God is active in your prayer and daily life. It’s a relationship with an experienced companion who meets you where you are and accompanies you through the different seasons of your life.
It’s listening, it’s dialogue, it’s silence, laughter, and tears, it’s creating a space just for you to comfortably share what stirs your heart.
Together, we’ll explore and grow closer to God.
Meet Susan, Spiritual Director at Journeys Worth Taking
Welcome.
I’ve been on an amazing journey of faith that has led me here - as a guide to others on the same journey. My adventure found a home in Ignatian Spirituality, a spirituality grounded in the beauty and mess of everyday life, where God can be found labouring in all things; in our struggles and joys, in all the people, places, and events of our lives. It is a spirituality that reminds us of whose we are and where we are going. It is a spirituality of the more for the More. It’s a journey worth taking.
Faith as a Journey with Another
Susan is an Ignatian-trained Spiritual Director. She grounds her approach to Spiritual Direction on the Road to Emmaus, where the Risen Christ appears as a stranger to two companions shattered by the loss of everything they lived and hoped for. But in walking, talking, and sharing a meal together, God becomes fully present to them. In the same way, Susan is a compassionate guide on the road of your life, and together we notice God already present, walking with you. There is no formal program, only inviting dialogue, silence, and listening for God's gentle soundings in your life. It is an experience of sacred space and time animated by prayer, hospitality, compassionate listening, and life-giving conversation.
